Abstract
The definition of reading comprehension in hypertext should be reestablished as followings. First, hypertext has relation to the active readers, who can choose reading hypertext as a writer. Second, the objects and contents for reading education are changed. The comprehension in hypertext means that every reader chooses the text by oneself and understands it and that comprehends it through communication in reading community is necessary. Third, hypertext is bringing about the hybridic thinking. Hybridic thinking is a complex process leading to creative thinking through critical comprehension. Fourth, The relation between 'reading text' and 'writing text' is similar to that between 'printing text' and 'hypertext'. Reading text is a printing text which the reader can read but not write anything. However, writing text is a writable text or a text for reading. Hypertext is a writing text which the writer discontinuously reads the text connected through network. In writing text, reader reorganizes the text which writer composes. Therefore, the division of writer and reader is obscure in such case that reader becomes writer.
