The Purpose of this study is to develop the contents and the methods of dispute instruction. To this purpose, I proposed the six principles of dispute instruction which realize the transactional paradigm of communication education: the principle of authentic instruction, -of wholistic instruction, -of heuristic instruction, -of meta cognition instruction, -of genre expansion instruction, -of attitude instruction.
I proposed the contents of dispute instruction which is structured as knowledges on dispute, skills of dispute, attitudes of dispute participants, and genres of dispute. the contents of dispute instruction which I proposed is not contents structure for analytic, procedural, normative instruction but for wholistic, heuristic, prescriptive instruction. And I proposed 'Role Playing Instruction Model' as the methods of dispute instruction.
