Abstract
In this article, it is proved that structural factors do not influence on summarizing in the case of highschool students. Subjects are divided into four groups according to random assignment. These groups are given four kinds of texts which were discriminative from each other in the aspect of both macro-structure and micro-structure. Aside from statistical analyses, it has been known that micro- structure parameters have two fold function in the course of summarizing, that is, in the construction of situation model. In the case of good macro-structure, its function is trivial. But when given poor macro-structured text for students, poor micro-structure provoking subjects’ cognitive struggling. These facts need to be proved in the large-sized groups.
