Abstract
Oh, Jeong - hun This paper is aimed at realizing the feminine value which is excluded by masculine authority on the premise of the significance in women’s poetry. In other words, this paper seriously desires to explore the meaning of feminine independence through actual works in order to criticize the negative reality where women’s independence is forgotten by men, and otherness occupies the place for feminine independence, and to overcome such contradictory reality. In addition, this paper looked into the possibility that the value of co-existence raised by women could be an alternative which surmounts the criticism over men and the evils of the other alienation and suppression that might become permanent through the negative attitude towards men. It is hoped that the educational elements, such as otherness, independence, and value related to women’s poetry will help students not only to widen the horizon of literary perception but they will become the foundation for students to accept the ideal value of respect for human beings. Further, hopefully, students will perceive the significance of the establishment of self-independence through the education of women’s poetry, and firm up their practical will to search for value that could aggressively improve reality.
