Abstract
Park Hyejin The purpose of this study was to analyze students’ language usage patterns by focusing on word type. So we qualitatively analyzed the patterns in which the lexical elements of different languages are utilized in the scene of making new words through the naming task. The results showed that the selection patterns were different depending on the ‘properties of naming objects, the speaker’s language consciousness and lexicon, and the linguistic characteristics of each type of word’. Thus, we suggested that a more diverse and active approach that includes Sino-Korean word and loanword should be implemented when designing wordformation education.
