Abstract
I argued about core-texts and multiple approaches of teaching poetry in this paper. Multiple approaches(MA) derived from theory of multiple intelligences(MI), computer based instruction(CBI), and small group learning activities(SGLA), will be able to develop methods of teaching poetry in various ways. And we can apply the MA to compile literature textbook with K-12 grades literary education as core-texts. MA consists of many learning modules made by MI, performed SGLA based on CBI, and organize learning modules as nodes and hyper-links into instruction system. Therefore, an instruction goes on various way, and students can choice a module by their level and interest. Multiple approaches of teaching poetry with core-texts would be an alternative proposal to improve the theory of teaching poetry. And it is able to realize the wholeness of teaching poetry and multiplicity of teaching-learning methods. MA theory will be useful in developing curriculum of teaching poetry, compiling textbook, and elaborating teaching methods also. 【Key words】 Teaching Poerty, Core-texts, Multiple Approaches, Complex Intelligence, Computer Based Literary Instruction, Small Group Learning Activities, Module Instruction
