Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to develop a elementary Korean Language learning and instruction model of writing based on the 7th Korean Language Curriculum. In developing the learning and Instruction model of writing, we must consider the characteristics of writing, factors of learner and teacher, recent writing theory and the goal of curriculum. Learning and instruction model of writing workshop emphasizes publication of writing as an product through the actual writing performance of students. This model consists of the phases as like a pre-writing, writing, revision, editing, publication. In this process of writing, the guidance of teacher plays a very important role of scaffolding. This learning and instruction model of writing is running by 5 major principles-ecological learning and instruction environment, various experiences of writing, balanced process and product, gradual turning over responsibility to the students, and interactional principles. This learning and instruction model of writing can improve the writing ownership and creative expressive writing power of students by emphasizing student-centered meaningful writing experiences and balanced process and product.
