Aspects of using quotation forms and their teaching method

Abstract
One of the most effective way of communicating is to get to know expressions which people quote often and to use them appropriately. As a result, it is necessary to research about the effective teaching method for quotations in Korean language education. First, quotations are classified into traditional ones and newly made ones, and their subcategories are also suggested. Next, the aspects of using quotation forms are classified into using the basic forms, substituting the composed lexical items and transforming the structures. The aspects are also studied to clarify how concretely they are realized in the traditional quotations and newly made ones, and in their subcategories, too. With the research results, the subcategories of quotations are discussed as to which should be dealt with in Korean language education. Quotation teachings are divided into the first stage where the basic forms are taught, and the second stage where creative usages are dealt with. It is suggested that the mechanism of analogy is effective in teaching creative usages of quotations. 【Key words】 substituting the composed lexical items, transforming the structures, teaching creative usages, analogy
