Abstract
Choi, Yeong-hwan This article is intended to suggest the organization of mateirals in korean language education. We have to discuss the unit as a concept of material. The elements of the unit are goals, contents, subject matters, and activities. The goals are most important thing in construction of unit. The contents are strategies to solve the problem. We used to think that the contents are relation to the subject matters. But in korean language education, the contents are strategies to use language. The activities are divided into two parts; knowing what, doing how. And there are four activities in both of them. When we construct the unit, we need to select the activities prudently. There are strong connection between the units of material and teaching models. The arrange of unit elements is the sequence of teaching. We need to categorize the goals of korean language education.
