The purpose of this paper is to explore the effective ways of Korean language Education related with the language on the radio broadcastings in South Korea. Recently, the opinion that 'media literacy' should be included in the contents of the Curriculum of Korean Language Education is getting power of persuasion among scholars in Korean Language Education. However, it needs to examine carefully to include mass media education into Korean language education in terms of effectiveness and identity of Korean Language Education. This paper suggests that media education, especially radio program education, has to be dealt at the low level involved only with the language being used in radio broadcasting. And that, media literacy education in Korean Language should be an education focusing on the principles which can explain various aspects of broadcasting language usages. It is argued that media literacy education could be effectively performed not only in the Korean language classes but in the integrated subjects classes such as ethics and language classes, sociology and language classes etc... In chapter two, it is argued for the significance of the role of broadcasting language in language education. The areas of broadcasting language education involved with language education in schools can be divided by many criteria, for instance, by the sorts of broadcasting network, characters of programmes, and purposes of education etc.. This paper suggests a series of categories of broadcasting language education by each criteria. In the following chapter, this article classifies the various ways to adopt radio broadcasting to Korean language education. Being divided into layers, radio broadcasting education in Korean language education can be sorted into education to understand radio broadcasting system, education to learn radio broadcasting language, and education to experience radio broadcasting. And each layer gives concrete shapes of classes teaching and training broadcasting language and its principles of usage.
