Literacy Learning and Assessment in Ecological Paradigm.

Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to examine ecological perspective to learning and assessment of literacy. We intend to clarify the idea of ‘learning and assessment of literacy’, and then to suggest its contents and method. Ecological perspective is beyond preserve of nature. According to Guattari, the main idea of ecology is ‘ecology of environment’, ‘ecology of society’, ‘ecology of mind’. This paper is to limit literacy as reading and writing. Reading and writing learned through social interaction that is higher psychological processes. This might include knowledge about strategies, text and about genres and purpose for writing. This paper suggests three literacy contents. There are authentic literacy materials and authentic literacy tasks and cross-curriculum content. Also, this paper suggests three literacy methods. There are collaborated learning, discussion and peer-assessment, conference, integrated learning and observed assessment. 【key words】Ecological perspective, Literacy, Learning and Assessment, Integrated learning
