Abstract
Choi, Mee-sook The aim of this study is to research test items that are used in National Assessment of Educational Achievement for Korean Language. In this study the practices and improvement strategies are argued on. The characteristics of the test items in ‘National Assessment of Educational Achievement for Korean Language’ are as follows. Firstly, it develops test items which are based on the achievement standards and the assessment standards. Secondly, it uses significant performance-based items, even if uses a number of multiple choice-based items. Finally, in the performance-based item, concrete scoring rubric should be used. This study suggests as follows: .To develop test items that assess problem solving process .To assess in being focused on the practical capability of Korean language .To develop test items that bring about the thinking subjectively .To making scoring rubric that grouping response characteristics The results from this study help to make the teaching-learning methods better, and improve assessment methods in the school.
