The subject of Speaking must be stated with the related terminologies. In order to correctly describe the Speaking concents, both choice of correct terminology and correct establishment of the concept are necessary. Terminologies used in the textbook for Speaking have close relationships with organization structures of the textbook contents. In this article, I reviewed the problems related to the use of the terminologies with focus on Conversation. The meaning of Conversation has different meanings by different textbooks, furthermore it has different meanings even with an same textbook. Therefore, it is difficult to state that there are norms and standardizations related to Conversation related terminologies.
The causes of this problem, as I analyzed in this article, are lack of differences between different Speaking types, insufficiency in presentation of special characteristics related to Speaking and presentation by improper materials related to Speaking. These problems can be resolved by correct establishments of proper terminologies related to Conversation.
