-focus on the Elective Subjects- Choi, Mee-sook This thesis discusses the direction of curriculum development for ‘media language’ subject. Developing the curriculum for ‘media language’ subject, we need to concider the followings. First, media language education must not aim at education for use of media but for ‘media language’ Second, it is necessary that we emphasize not only the critical reading of media text.but also the expression of media text. Third, it is important that we have ability to enjoy and reflect media text. And Fourth, it is important to grasp relation between the media language and society.culture. And this thesis discusses four-terms as categories of contents for media language education.:‘quality of media language’ ‘media language and society.culture’ ‘reception and production of media language’ ‘text types for media language education’
