Abstract
Lee joon-young There was no such thing as natural relevance in the way of understanding human kind in the literature education. However, approachment toward ‘nature’ as a way of understanding human will enable us to reach overall understanding about ecological problems including natural, social and cultural scientific perspectives. This thesis deals with ‘plans for reading education of literature’ as a specific methodology for ‘sustainability literacy’. It’s in terms of ‘ecological trait of literature education’ meeting ‘learner and teacher as a human’ and ‘text as language structure’, and it communicating with ‘environment’ and ‘creating layers of meaning’. Specifically, ‘sustainability literacy’ is understanding the system as a whole in relation based on epistemology of complications, and conceptualizing through thinking ability. This concept ‘sustainability literacy’, particularly in language education, indicates understanding human, language and environment in their complex relationships and communicating with the systematical results within them. I came up with theoretical format which enables learners to understand own experience in reading environment, have good relationships with teachers and peers around, and maintain these actively and consistently based on the complex relations.
