A Study on the Persuasion Conversation Aspects in <Shimcheongjeon> — Foused on Value as Shinjaehyobon as a Material for Expression Education

Abstract
Joo Jaewoo This study analyzes the aspect of persuasion conversation in Korean classical novel and derives its strategy and features. Through this, we want to realize the understanding of a tradi- tional language culture of persuasion and enlarge the educational content for expression. The following features of persuation conversation are shown in Shinjaehyobon(申在孝本). Simcheong persuaded her father used illustra- tive examples and comparisons scheme to reduce his father’s psychologi- cal burden. There is no persuasion conversation between Shim Chung and noble lady Jang, because the converted writer Shinjaehyo chose nar- rative rationality rather than dramatic effect. To persuade the emperor to hold a feast for blinds, the empress Simcheong spoke in passive and indi- rect dialogue. Shinjaehyobon among versions is a material for expression education that shows the traditional strategy of persuasion.
