The purpose of this paper is to review the relation of textlinguistics and Korean language education(as National language education) and to affirm the need of new research system of textlinguistics centered on Korean language education. So I reviewed the history, the areas and the main thesis of the research in textlinguistics. On the base of this review, I analysed the co-relation of influence in textlinguistics and Korean language education. The result of this analysis, we knew that not only textlinguistics influences Korean language education but also Korean language education can influence textlinguistics developmently. So it needs to cognize and solve the problems of Korean language education that have to research in the method of textlinguistics. It has to expand the view point of text to cognitive and social dimensions over pure linguistic dimensions, and solve the problems from discovery of text property to application to education that are centered on Korean language education. 【Key words】 Korean language education, textlinguistics
