In oder to find out the actual state on teacher education to be an elementary Korean language teacher, the Korean language education curriculum and syllabus of all national universities of education were collected and analyzed. In oder to find out the satisfaction and needs for teacher education to be an elementary Korean language teacher, a questionnaire was administrated to students and professors in all national universities of education and elementary school teachers. In the actual state on teacher education to be an elementary Korean language teacher, we examined the present position on liberal arts related to Korean language. In the management of the lecture of Korean language education, we examined the method of connection between 'Korean language education I' and 'Korean language education II', the scope of theory and the activity types. We examined the actual state on teaching Korean language education in elementary schools. We examined the satisfaction and needs for liberal arts related to Korean language and Korean language education. On the basis of the analyses above, suggestions made as follows. First, this study would be the foundation of revision of curriculum in the national university of education. Second, this study would be the reference to the plan of staff development in the national university of education.
