For this study, 37 researchers from universities in Seoul were participated. In order to collect data, was used. Results from the study documented as follows. First, the 37 researcher thought that knowledge of quantitative research methods for Korean education is necessary. Second, their doctoral programs did not provide sufficient classes related to quantitative research methods. Thus they experienced some difficulties in understanding related research works and in doing research using quantitative research methods. Finally, they thought that 3~6 credit hours for quantitative research methods in the area of Korean education should be required. For Korean education researchers to become independent researchers, curriculum related to quantitative research methodology should be restructured.
