The result of the study and experience of expression education is getting more and more. It is timely for us to investigate the proposition and method and to propose a new direction of study on expression education. There are three causes of expression education. First, there are only two extreme concepts of expression in Korean education. One is to take notice of practical aspects of expression, the other is to notice of aesthetic aspects of expression like author's. Second, there has been supposed the history of study as development in expression education. That is, the new proposition and method has been supposed as better than the previous. Third, there has been applied to Korean expression education with the foreign theory or method in writing and speaking. To systematize and realize expression education, it is necessary to recognize with our problem in expression area in Korean education. The root of three problems is the absence of tradition of study and practice. If we will establish the tradition of expression education, we will describe our student or class widely and deeply, investigate the property of our language and develope the theory of our own.
