Abstract
The purpose of this research is to observe a topographical map of Korean language education's study and to prospect of the future of it. The past of Korean language education's study focused on the practice rather than the study. The study of Korean language education really activate with publication of a doctoral thesis. The distinguishing feature of the present period is that doctoral thesis has the character of Korean linguistics' study. But it gradually had the authority of Korean language education. Another feature is the frame of doctoral thesis. Namely, the first part of thesis's content is about Korean linguistics or Korean literature and the second part is about Korean language education. The second part is about application of the first part. The problem of this frame is that the first and second part is separate and this is attached to that. In order to overcome this problem, the researcher has the view of Korean language education itself. And the second part is raised one thesis of Korean language education's study.
