Abstract
The content of the curriculum of Korean Language Education is the part to show the curricular point of Korean Language Education and to consolidate its academic systems. Its contents are divided into three dimensions - area, content system, content description. Since the area is the presentation level in Korean Language Education, it's more advisable for Korean Language Education to be systematized at level of speech activity, listening, speaking, reading, writing. “Viewing” to emphasize the visual language based on the current Information Technology trend. Nevertheless the adoption of “Viewing” should be reviewed. It's not necessary to adopt “Viewing” in advance because the term, “Viewing” is more natural to read “Advertising” than to view it and more proper to read a movie than to view one. The content system becomes more concrete through the speech activities presented by the area. In this regards, the method would be chosen to indicate the factors of speech activity by category. Therefore, the content system provides the ways to place under the categories such as text, situational context, the principle of language use, Language skills. The content description is the implementation of the content system. Even though the content description is based on the category presented at the content system, it should be to describe the level and the characteristics of the speech activities more than to emphasize on the characteristics of the goal which the learner will achieve.
