The Improvement of Curriculum for Elementary Korean Language Teacher Education

Abstract
The primary purpose of this study is to fine out what solutions are required for elementary school korean language teacher education in korea. This study also looked into the curriculum and certification of elementary school teacher for nurturing elementary school korean teachers and determined whether or not they were proper for the development of professionalism in Korean language teachers. There are three possibilities to develop curriculum of korean language teacher education. Firstly, extemporary solution is to exchange the contents of lectures that is related to korean language. Actually this solution is necessary to reform the curriculum and essential in korean language teacher education Secondly, reformational solution is to increase the ratio of credits that can extend abilities of korean language teachers. Thirdly, innovative solution is to exchange the certification of elementary school teacher. To receive the certification of elementary school teacher, they have to take the principal subjects courses(korean, math, science etc.). And so, other subjects courses have to be optional courses. To conclude, all the solutions to nurture elementary school korean language teachers need to be reorganized to make the teachers more professional.
