Abstract
A Study on the Direction of a Development of Elementary Textbook - Through Analysis of Foreign Elementary Textbooks - Kim, Hye-jeong The purpose of this paper is to suggest a direction of a development of elementary textbook, through analysis of foreign(USA’, Deutsch) textbooks. Textbooks of foreign elementary education are organized with a few principles of textbook-composition ; thematic unit, balanced literacy program, expression for high-motivation and visualization, multi-syllabus model. Especially, multi-syllabus model is alternative model, which coordinate with language structure[grammar, literature knowledge] and language skill(speaking, listening, reading, writing), laying the principle of thema-context(thematic units) on the surface. Therefore, our direction of a development of elementary textbook must refer to desirable models of a foreign education.
