Abstract
A Study on the Meanings of ‘Caring as Thinking’ in Speech Communication EducationSeo, Hyun-seok‘Caring as Thinking’ is a important factor in the process of Speech Communication. That is a kind of judgment, which is the concentrating and consideration of somewhat and the sense of the decision about the contents and the ways of expression of communication. ‘Caring as Thinking’, a intended mental acts, is a primary factor of Speech Communication Ability that is (1) the concentration in what is worth, (2) the emotion of judgment (3) the act of Caring for interesting and Creative thinking with complex situation, (4) the pursuit of what is thought be good, (5) the thinking of sympathy. ‘Caring as Thinking’ reflects the characteristic of inter-subjectivity of our communication, supplements the contents of the thinking faculty and emphasize the traditional way of Korean Speech communication in Korean Language Education. I recomposed ‘Caring as Thinking’ in a contents of the thinking faculty in Korean Speech Communication Education, the contents can be balanceable in this study. This study is meaningful in the consideration of ‘Caring as Thinking’ as a kind of higher mental processes, not simple aspects of attitude.
