Abstract
Although self-evaluation has been implemented extensively in elementary schools, few systematic attempts to teach students how to self-evaluate their work have been reported. In this study, We focus on a artificial process that provided a teachers with procedures for teaching grade 3-4 students how to self-evaluated their performance in reading instruction.self-evaluation is a self-regulatory process as comprising three process: self-observation that deliberate attention to aspects of one's behavior, self-judgement that refers to comparing present performance with one's goal and self-reactions to goal progress may be evaluation. These self-regulatory process involved self-evaluation can be improved by becoming aware of evaluation situation, influencing goal condition, drawing attention to previous performance, finding functional value of strategies for focusing self-observation. Also Establishing performance achievement, finding student's similarity and difference lead student to make meta-cognition for self-judgement. Arranging reaction-categories, showing positive reactions enhances to forming self-reaction.
