Audience-considering Education Applying the PAIR Strategy

Abstract
This study is designed to analyze the problems of the existing audience-considering education in terms of dialogue and to propose the PAIR strategy as an alternative. The existing audience education shows problems of assuming that audience are passive beings and offering unspecific considerations of audience based on traditional demographical analysis. In this regard, the PAIR strategy can be used which has been obtained by making a text analysis of the strategy I used to communicate with my audience in the process of writing to improve such weak points and enhance my ability to communicate with my audience,. The PAIR strategy is composed of P (Positioning) sub-strategy to invite audience to a text, the A (Attracting) sub-strategy to make audience to read a text, the I (Informing) sub-strategy to help audience read a text easily, and the R(Replying) sub-strategy to predict and cope with the responses audience will show. The PAIR strategy in this study is significant in that the strategy concretely shows what and how to do when students takes audience into consideration in the course of writing. Still, further follow-up studies will be needed in that the strategy is required to verify its validity and efficiency.
