An Analysis of Essay Case Using Literature Text -On the Subject of Lee, Munyeol's <Our twisted hero>-

Abstract
Writing essay education should bring learner to think actively on considering learner's cognition and experience. Literature is a great help to essay education because it is based on the concrete figure. This paper is written with 11th grade learners' essay for focusing on the utility of literature. This study classified 104 essays for argument source. 60% of essays is based on inner argument of the work, 25% of essays used learner's experience, and 15% used learner's schema. Description focusing on inner argument of the work is divided into description focusing on explanation and description focusing on interpretation. The essays based on description focusing on interpretation is highly valued because of clear viewpoint. Among the essays used learner's experience, the texts presenting general value is highly estimated. In the case of using schema, good texts is produced presenting structured view. Learners tend to regard the presentation of similar case as the completion of proof in the result of essay analysis. In this point writing essay education should make efforts to develop the interpretation ability and the ability of producing meaning for learners.
