Abstract
This study aimed to analyze the levels of digital literacy of elementary school students as identified by teachers conducting digital literacy activities in non-face-to-face classes during the COVID-19 pandemic and to propose suitable educational measures. Semi-structured interviews were held with nine elementary school teachers working in Seoul. The results were as follows: first, most elementary learners encountered difficulties in managing basic digital device functions; second, they showed low adaptability to new platforms; third, they encountered difficulties in doing writing on digital platforms; and fourth, they also found it difficult to recognize genres and communication spaces. Therefore, to address these issues, it is necessary to determine the levels of digital literacy among elementary learners and provide more explicit training on digital literacy by introducing achievement criteria.
