Creativity in the Era of Generative AI and Prompt Literacy

Abstract
This study explored the direction of creativity in Korean language education within the context of generative AI, represented by large language models like ChatGPT. This study examined trends in previous research on creativity in Korean language education and critically reviewed discourses on creativity related to generative AI. From the perspective of literacy practices, this collaboration is conceptualized as “prompt literacy,” defined as the “collaborative meaning-making between humans and generative AI.” The specific practices of prompt literacy were analyzed using Glăveanu’s framework of distributed creativity. Based on these findings, the study offers implications for the direction and content of research centered on prompt literacy.
