본고는 국어 어휘 교육론 개발을 위한 기초 연구(I) - 어휘 교육의 이 론과 실제- 의 후속편으로 어휘 교육론의 내용 을 다루었다. 국어 어휘 교육론 개발을 위한 기초 연구 의 방법은 문헌 조사, 현장 조사, 설문 조사 방법을 이용하였다. 어휘교육론 의 내용을 어떻게 구성할 것인가에 대한 연구는 어휘교 육론 이 어휘 교육을 담당할 사범대나 교육대 국어교육과 학생이나 국 어 교육을 담당하는 현직 초·중등 국어 교사에게 어휘에 대한 기초 지 식과 어휘 교육에 관한 지식과 교수 학습 능력을 길러줄 수 있어야 할 것을 전제로 한다. 초·중등 국어 교사가 어휘 교육을 적절하게 할 수 있도록 어휘 교육과 관련한 이론과 실제를 충실하게 소개할 수 있는 어 휘교육론 으로 국어 교사가 될 학생들을 대상으로 하는 대학 교재로서 의 개론서 어휘교육론 은 어휘 교육을 연구하는 전문가를 위한 내용이 기보다는 실제에 적용할 수 있는 기초 이론과 지침이 되어야 한다. 따라 서 개론서 어휘교육론 은 어휘에 대한 기초 지식으로는 어휘론이, 어휘 교육에 관한 지식(이론)과 교수 학습 능력을 기르기 위해서는 어휘 교 육에 관한 이론과 실제가 필요할 것이다. 따라서 대학의 한 학기 강좌용 으로 구성한 어휘교육론 의 내용은 다음과 같다.
