썰렁하다 는 표현은 단순히 놀이 담화의 성패를 평가하며 담화의 종 결을 알리는 구조적 표지로만 쓰이는 것이 아니라, 놀이 담화의 속성을 유지시키기 위해 담화 참여자들이 의도적으로 사용하는 적극적인 전략 으로 볼 수 있다. 본 연구는 썰렁하다 란 전략을 담화 참여자의 역할에 따라 조력자의 썰렁하다 전략(1), 조력자의 썰렁하다 전략(2), 주도자의 썰렁하다 전 략(1), 주도자의 썰렁하다 전략(2) 등으로 나누어, 썰렁하다 는 표현이 놀이 담화에서 사용되는 의미와 기능을 여러 가지로 해석해 보았다. 이 논문은 놀이 담화에 담화 분석의 연구 방법을 적용해 본 것으로, 놀이 담화에 대한 흥미로운 분석과 아울러 담화 분석의 한 방법을 보여 줄 것이다. 이 연구가 놀이 담화를 포함하는 일상 대화(담화)에 대한 심 도 깊은 연구의 조그만 밑거름이 되었으면 한다. < A b s trac t > Dis cours e A naly sis of s s ollong hada : A S tudy on termination s trateg y of w ord play dis cours e Y o o , D on g - y up & In , Hy e - ry on T his article inv estigates the termination strategy of w ord play discour se by focu sin g ssollonghada expression .
