이 논문은 국어교육 정보화 연구를 위한 기초적 연구의 성격을 띤다. 국어교육 정보화의 효율적이고도 체계적인 접근을 위해서는 국어교육 내용 차원에서 이들에 대한 총체적 점검(m onitoring )과 평가가 필요하 다. 이러한 맥락에서 이 연구는 (국어)교육 정보화와 관련된 국내외 동 향, 국어교육 정보화의 접근방법, 국어교육 소프트웨어의 평가 기준 및 그 적용, 국어과 교수·학습 관련 소프트웨어의 현장 사용 실태 및 만족 도 조사 등을 살펴보았다. 이 논문에서 초중고 학생 570여명과 초중고 교사 90여명을 대상으로 조사한 결과에 의하면, 국어과 교육용 소프트웨어에 대한 만족도가 그 리 크지 않으며, 프로그램 제작과 관련하여 여러 측면에서 개선의 여지 가 있다는 것을 알 수 있다. 국어교육 정보화와 관련된 개선 방향의 전제로는, 공급자적 관점에서 수요자 중심의 관점으로 개발 보급의 방향을 전환하여야 하며, 국어과 소프트웨어의 기획이나 제작 과정에 교사나 국어교육 전문가들이 좀더 활발하게 참여할 수 있어야 하고, 무엇보다도 자료 제작에 있어서 개방 적이고도 열린 사고의 접근법이 필요하다. 특히 교사나 학생들의 교수학습을 위한 보충 교재 혹은 자료의 형태로 멀티미디어의 장점을 살려 서 제시하는 것이 실제 수업에 훨씬 도움이 되리라는 점이다. 아울러 학 생들을 주요 대상으로 할 경우에는, 특히 사고력을 자극할 수 있는 국 어 활동 중심의 게임오락형 코스웨어 개발을 적극적으로 고려함으로써 학습자들의 흥미와 관심을 높일 필요가 있다는 점이다. < A b s trac t > U s e of inform ation technolog y in Korean lang uag e education S e o , Hy e ok Now aday s m any countries hav e emphasized on education through computer softw are an d internet .
