This paper tries to indicating writing ability hierarchically. I scrutinized 'content generation category' in 7th writing curriculum and then found out that content items are presented discretely and lack of concreteness and hierarchy. So in indicating writing ability hierarchically, wholeness and concreteness must be equipped, logicality of content and developmental features of student must be considered in order to equip hierarchy. I look for methods of indicating writing ability in the following procedure. First, I divided four factor – theme or topic, ways of gathering contents, purpose of writing, reader – and made four hierarchical levels in each factor. Second, I made four basic levels in the course of combining the same levels in each factor. third, I generated more diverse levels in terms of raising/descending one or two level in any factor. Lastly, I elaborated each levels in order to apply it as writing task in school study.
