The Current Status and Perspectives of Research on Reading Process Using Eye-tracker

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to review the researches on reading process using eye tracker and to find out the research areas regarding Korean education using eye tracker. The eye tracker is an equipment for measuring the size of the pupils and eye movement. It was mostly used in study of Cognitive psychology, Advertisement, Design, Medicine and Language eduction, and conducting the studies of Language education using it is relatively in the beginning stage. It was propose five areas of study using Eye-tracker in Korean education: (1) An empirical study of reading ability development is available. (2) Text complexity study will be expanded. (3) A diversity of reference can be reflected when textbook or digital textbook is developed (4) Affective domain of reading process can be investigated. (5) Listening and writing process is covered with reading comprehension process generally.
