Abstract
The national Korean as a second language (KSL) curriculum was announced in 2012. The purpose of the study is to make a suggestion concerning how to revise the curriculum. A delphi survey was administered to 34 subjects. 15 were university professors and 2 were elementary schools teachers specializing in Korean education. 15 were university professors and 2 were elementary school teachers specializing in Korean-as-a-second-language education. The survey was conducted twice, once in November and once in December 2014. On a scale from 1 to 5, subjects indicated the validity of “goals”, “contents”, “organization principles”, level relevance of higher-leveled achievement standard statements (level 1-6) and lower-leveled achievement standard statements (level 1-6) of the national KSL curriculum. Subjects indicated various ways to revise sections of the curriculum. The most common criticisms of the sections were that they were too easy, they contained unclear statements, or required other stylistic revisions.
