The Policy and Philosophy of Korean Language Textbooks

Abstract
This paper analysed the policy of Korean Language Textbook (KLT) and its philosophy in 2015 national curriculum. Government executed KLT policy by the KLT development criteria. As a results, creativity integration, core competence, authenticity, integration of language skills, restricted curriculum contents, reduced cross curricula, requirement of national identity, emphasis of teaching and assessment, and using critical materials were represented in KLT policy. These policy were mostly based on the empiricism. Also, there are nationalism, excellence, equality, and interventional policy. Few are contradictory each other in philosophy.
