The Search for a Response in Literary Education to the Affect of Disgust — with a Focus on Science Fiction

Abstract
This study find that the affect of disgust against others is becoming a key problem in the rapidly changing social situations of modern society, and seek literary educational responses to the affect of disgust, focusing on the literary pattern in science fiction novels. In order to transition from the affect of disgust to the affect of empathy and coexistence, it must actively and intentionally seek to reflect on affect’s source and possibility. As a literary educational response to the affect of disgust, this study proposes refraction of affect through cutting and chain of micro-events, staring at vulnerability and qualitative uniqueness through narrative experience, and consciousness of unconsciousness through reflection.
