Argumentative Issues and Proposals for Handling of Literary Materials in Korean Language Textbook

Abstract
This thesis aimed to draw some issues relevant to the handling of literary materials in korean language textbook, to figure out argumentative property of issues and to submit some proposal for problem solving. The aspects of issues and proposals are as follows,1. It is necessary to deal literary materials in textbook, as the practical materials of language education and as the object of esthetic approach. 2. It will be more reasonable to regard the literary material as the case material for achieving instructional goals than to regard as the canon. 3. The rebirth of author must be implemented in textbook because meaningful criticism by learner is made of using various information about materials. 4. The original text is more useful than various other edition text as materials in textbook. 5. The theoretical concepts for literary education in textbooks are to be offered to learners after minimal arranging process by related academic societies. 6. Augmentatively it is necessary to consider using qualitatively contracted text, presenting summary based on narrator’s voice, cognizing the illustrating as the critical activity.
